But this broken bash behaviour (to behave differently if SSH2_CLIENT/SSH_CLIENT is defined) was dropped before 6-7 years !
If you execute command with bash then file ~/.bashrc isn't processed.
It is fine bash to do same for ssh command - it is expected to be rejected from bash team. Ask you vendor to drop too.
