I think it is especially important with this one to be clear whether
we're dealing with one bug here, or multiple ones. When you say
open-ils.search was continuing to crash occasionally after you applied
the SIGALRM patch, was it specifically with the "Can't use an
undefined value as a symbol reference" error, or something else?
