Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The Swedish language myspell dictionary is not found by openoffice 3.0 (Jaunty) so spellcheck does not work. Other dictionaries are found.

I think this is because the myspell-sv-se package only installs the file as sv.dic instead of sv_SE.dic. I need to look into this issue a bit more and then upload a new version of the dictionary package.

Yes, this is due to it only being sv.dic instead of sv-SE.dic. I created a symlink to test and it worked so I have filed an upstream bug report about this issue. I am not sure what we need to do yet but hopefully the upstream developers will weigh in soon so we can determine whether to fix all the dictionary packages or just patch OOo to work better at falling back, which I personally think is probably the better solution.

sync requests for:
ifrench - bug 350072
ispell-uk - bug 350070
norwegian - bug 350071

still need to get these updated in Debian and then synced:
ifrench-gut - debian bug 517786
myspell-sv - debug bug 517782
