Dear Quentin,
That's the conclusion I ha reached too, even though functionally it's a lack.
In this light, I propose to simply drop the "date" field which makes people expect OpenERP to do what it can't.
And then, I suggest we wait for the WMS to stabilize, and later all work together to introduce this feature.
Philippe at Numerigraphe has developed it for another system outside OpenERP using the same principle of "quant", so I'm confident this can be fixed eventually.
