Thats a pretty late response. I posted this question in March and now its August.

That was a typo above. I had set production lot to B only. My point was that users should be given flexibility to set production orders on scheduled products itself as it makes sense to make a decision regarding which lot of products to consume during planning phase itself.

And for that I coded and attached a small module, which ofcourse is not production quality and can be improved like warning users if production lot has enough material or not and so on. But mostly setting production lot on scheduled products saves users from one extra step which in a client-server application is a big deal.
