Hello Amit,
sincerely on my "mail module v7.0.1.0" (addon revision 9218) the "From" field configured in the template is ignored while current user alias is used.
I'm tested this with template Send Sale Order by Email (where I've changed From field with a fixed and correct email address)

please openerp team can you help me to solve this ?
