As per Fabien Pinckaers request here is my reason (in as much detail as I feel is needed) why I think current design is wrong:

You are not allowed, as per legal norms in my country, and I'm pretty sure it's the same in many other jurisdictions, to title proforma/quotation or invoice to a person in a company. It must legally be adressed to the company or a division of one, as the company/division and not the contact is your customer, and if you want to make sure it reaches a certain person you're free to wrap it (envelope it) and adress the envelope to that person.

There is a clear distinction between a legal (and often legally binding) accounting/business document and business correspondence. With what you did in v7 you effectively nix that distinction. I don't know what's the case elsewhere, but invoice and a proforma is subject to legal regulation (and audit) here, not just your accounting i.e. journal entries.

Perhaps in your country it's different, and perhaps in some future it will be so in others, but I wonder why you would insist on hard-wiring a design that clashes with legal requirements to achieve functionality that could have been achieved by other means, and quite frankly, seems rather unimportant and cosmetic.

In the end, global software should have provisions to meet requirements of various legislatures, a design should not insist on a headstrong way of doing things that clash with such requirements.
