I agree with Loeki's patch, but I had problems with what has been done here http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp/openobject-addons/5.0/revision/2534.

After this revision, it will never consider the supplied fiscal year, and will consider all the PAST fiscal years.

Check it please. Read Comment #9 too.
