description didn't include enough information.

At a minimum, we need:
 1. The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd'.
 2. The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy package_name' or by checking in Synaptic.

Also, what exactly doesn't work for you? What happens if you press Keys with Alt Gr?
