Ritesh, I finally came around doing this and I settled on detecting "real" keyboard devices. This means that you should be able to keep "Hide when typing..." enabled and ideapad-laptop would not trigger auto-hide-on-key-press.
That was the last missing piece, I believe.

We're going to release Onboard 1.4 very soon. If you have news from the driver people, let me know. I can still add that sysfs path.
