Again, I'm principally for adding some kind of GNOME shell integration to the Onboard's project, but I feel this particular extension isn't ready yet. I've listed most of the issues I have with the existing code in #8. To summarize, I believe we'd need (highest to lowest importance):
  - Onboard at password prompts
  - Onboard in overview
  - to keep Onboard's auto-show

We would add Debian packaging, as Francesco described above, to the Onboard project. I consider this mainly a suggestion, though. Ubuntu happens to mostly pick our packaging up as is, but in general distributions are free to ignore this and provide their own.

The question for me is now, who's going to improve the extension? While I'm willing to help, I'm reluctant to do this kind of desktop specific work myself. Would you like to contact the original author or perhaps even try yourself?
