Looking at the commit "Always check the BDP partitions when getting all the possible ESPs", https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/commit/ce63e44395f28746adf4ff274442925d8e621585 it seems that a very specific setup with an incorrect partition type for the ESP is needed to reproduce what is fixed by this change.

Could you, please, indicate what is needed to reproduce your problem including your input, the console output, and the expected result.

Please, run 'apport-collect 1990179' to provide system information.
