Bug Description

Quick fix:

 - remove nvidia drivers
sudo apt-get purge nvidia* # warning: some additional packages may be purged..

 - download and install nvidia 290.33 driver from nvidia site:

Unfortunatelly, the fix above works until the next reboot only. The purge of nvidia drivers triggers nouveau installation, and in particular rebuild of initramfs. This prevents loading of the original nvidia module.

Another clues:
 - installation of nvidia-current 295.33 (https://launchpadlibrarian.net/98943873/nvidia-current_295.33-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb) is successfull, but the problem with no 3D acceleration remains.
 - booting time and kdm start from rc when nvidia driver in use is very slow compared to nouveau.
