Nope, I tried on 4.6RC1 and the problem persists. This is silly. Why have trash at all with an implementation this broken?
It does the wrong thing across multiple locally mounted file systems, across NFS mounts, across SMB/CIFS mounts. Anything deleted on ANY media is moved to the users home .local/Trash folder.
