It is very important to fix this bug. I am sure there are many more bugs to be found through stress testing nova, but this issue really makes it difficult to do that properly. It requires stress tests to throttle themselves which makes it harder for the stress to penetrate to all the parts of the system that it should in order to find race conditions.
