Comment 2 for bug 1809123

Since yesterday I have been running my test successfully with the workaround at https://review.openstack.org/#/c/633493/. In other words, just don't worry if that utime call fails. I'd be interested to hear if you think there's anything fundamentally wrong with that; it feels to me like a simpler fix than the locking that you have proposed.
