I'm seeing this on every boot as well. ubuntu 14.04 same client version as Michael above. None of my nova.conf's (ie compute, controller or network) have any uncommented nova options. I see things in there like

# nova_url = http://127.0.0.1:8774

which if that's a default could be "bad", right?

what nova options should be enabled and on which types of hosts?
