Comment 35 for bug 1522922

I was experiencing the same problem after upgrading to Kubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.2.0-18-generic (Dell m3800); the flickering happens if I switch from a lower resolution than the maximal one, 3200x1800, e.g., 1920x1080).

I tried to apply the latest patch, but it does not apply since I guess it's too new for the sources of 4.2.0-18-generic.

However, reverting the two commits as mentioned in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91393#c25 fixes the problem for me as well!
