Bug Description

I am finding that nginx segfaults when using the gzip_types configuration option in 1.4.3 on Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) 64-bit.

This being used my nginx.conf in the http block:
gzip_types text/css application/json application/x-javascript text/xml application/xml application/xml+rss text/javascript;

If I comment out that line, nginx starts normally.

I also went compiled nginx 1.4.3 from the source myself on Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit and it is able to check the config and start properly. I haven't done much testing/debugging, but it seems to be a problem with the build in the PPA.

I am marking this as "Incomplete" as I have resynced the stable PPAs with Debian, because there's bugfixes in Debian that were included *after* the PPA uploads were done.

In a couple of hours, can you please test the packages in the PPA and see whether this still happens?

When I said a few hours, I meant tomorrow. (Apparently Debian added a build-dep that I now have to backport to the versions of Ubuntu that don't have it)

Glad to see that resyncing the PPA with Debian fixed it! Bug fixed, I guess.

I'm getting exactly the same issue with 1.5.6, it possible that the development channel needs resyncing as well?

Mustang:

Probably but resyncing the mainline PPA with Debian is a bit trickier than just copying what's in Debian.

Please open a separate bug for the mainline PPA's version though. (separate tracking of separate versions is not easy here, but unfortunately necessary)
