I'm definitely not against such a change. At first I was slow to understand whether you consider this a bug or a missing a feature. But now I see it's a missing feature. However it's tiny, so probably we don't need to bring this to the drivers meeting. On the other hand if you push a patch for this, please also include a bit of documentation, because I'm not aware of any doc saying this is a supported model.
