im trying to get this merged in master once that is actully done we can start backporting.
at present all the neutron patches we are aware of are now merged there are 2 needed for nova at present once those merge we can start backporting. it has been quite hard to get core review on this feature which is why the fixes have been in flight for 2+ years. i am hopeful this will be resolved before the end fo the year and we will have done the backports but i also said that 2 years ago and i could not get people to actully review the chagnes.

the best way to drive this forward is to test the changes and review them.
