Comment 3 for bug 1104234

I was able to get this working. I'm not sure what precisely it was that fixed this. I'm also not sure if it completely 100% works, as this is on my netbook which lags horribly, but I can view the videos.

What I did:
removed ~/.netflix-desktop
restarted netflix-desktop <-- wasn't working
removed ~/.netflix-desktop
ran "sudo apt-get purge netflix-desktop"
ran "sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop"
started netflix-desktop <-- can view videos. Has very bad lag, most likely due to this being on my netbook.

I'm planning on installing this on my desktop later, and hopefully I can duplicate the issue as well as my resolution of the issue, and verify that it works.
