Strange enough, this seems top affect only smlinks! real files, real folders and the nautilus special files for trash, home folder,. etc. keep in the place I put them even after the next login!
Also, I moved away all . files from my home that I see the slightest bit connected to nautilus and logged in again - but the effect keeps being there.
Please let me know what could be reasons for this and where I could check - I' really used to have a specific order of things on my desktop and it's really a pain not being able to have my order anymore.
