Bug Description

(I was about to report this against "cdrkit" but I guess not.)

Steps to repro:

1. Insert a DVD movie disk, observe its icon on the desktop
2. Right-click on the icon, select "Copy Disc ..."
3. Hit Cancel

Expected result:

DVD icon should remain on desktop

Actual result:

Poof, it's gone

It's apparently unmounted already after "2" in the repro steps.

As a workaround, you can obviously eject the disk and push it back in to get it back, but it's an annoyance.

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

$ apt-cache policy cdrkit
W: Unable to locate package cdrkit

Hmm, maybe I should find another package after all?

Somewhat related: bug #50234 (Triaged Wishlist) and bug #35639 (Invalid Low) (sic!)

I marked this as a duplicate of bug 50234, because for that bug there is already an upstream bug created. Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.
