You are right, this bug is no longer applicable, but it does not "work fine" ... a compiler error is not good!

As you point out, there is no longer a dependency from shared to server. But it is not only sufficient for shared not to depend upon server. It also may not depend upon any Java classes which are not available in GWTC.
