Compilation Error

After some updates my moderncv does not compile any more, I get one of two different errors:

"!pdfTeX error: /usr/bin/pdflatex (file ec-lmr10): Font ec-lmr10 at 657 not found
 ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!"

or

"! pdfTeX error (font expansion): auto expansion is only possible with scalable fonts.
\AtBegShi@Output ...ipout \box \AtBeginShipoutBox
                                                  \fi \fi
l.17 \end{document}
! ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!"

The second error happens whenever there is a line breaking somewhere.
Minimal examples are

\documentclass{moderncv}
\moderncvtheme{classic}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[english]{babel}
\firstname{xx}
\familyname{yy}

\begin{document}
\maketitle
\section{Personal data}
\cvline{x}{y}
\end{document}

or

replacing \cvline{x}{y} by \cvline{x}{yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy}

Has been solved in the meantime and was not directly linked to the moderncv package.

Cause of the error was an old folder in ~/.texlive.
