This is a problem of *localization* which we (i.e. the moblin team) are not responsible for. We are only responsible for *internationalization* which is enabling the packages to be translated. The moblin applets package already has some localization done because it inherited much of its code from gnome-control-center, which was already localized for 79 languages. Therefore many of the strings are going to be untranslated and this is the correct behavior.
