that's the behavior I have been seeing for over a year and even before filing this bug.

I am a bit worried installing 2.0. Will that mess up any database or corrupt my library? If not, I can give that a try. But figuring out which exact commit introduced this behavior will be difficult.

Todays build with https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/1566 merged still has the buggy behavior.
