I read all the previous comments, but I love simplicity so I kept it really simple.
I drew 2 sheets of paper to show you my first ideas so here is my first one, it is the library gui layout for the music explorer.
I plan to apply on this idea for the GSOC 2013, so your feedback would be welcome.
