I agree in general with not spending too much time adding advanced tagging
/ organization features to Mixxx since it's kind of out of scope of the
project.

The problem with delegating to an external project (e.g. just using
Banshee's database as the Mixxx library) is that Banshee is not cross
platform and there is no single external program that is cross platform and
very popular. I think we should aim to allow external libraries to be
treated natively in Mixxx but do it in a general way.
