Bug Description

Sometimes when one track fades out and another track starts abruptly, I would like to be able to instantaneously transition to the second track. This could be accomplished by stopping one track and starting the other, or starting the second one and simultaneously moving the slider to that channel. I can't do either though, because I can only work one control at a time with the mouse pointer.

While either technique would work, "connecting" the play buttons would be more consistent with the UI of Mixxx, and probably easier to implement. And since the first track would be stopped I could add the next track to it,

Note that I would only want to use this feature for specific transitions, not most of the time, so this wouldn't be set in the configuration menu, but a button on the mixer.

Hi,

Can't you use the keyboard shortcut and press D & L??

That's what I do.

Gary Littlemore has right.

Just press D & L simultaneously.

I think we do not need such an additional GUI element.

I just tried that and it works great. Thanks. I hadn't looked at the keyboard access in detail.
It would be nice if there were a mouse button for it, but as a low priority. Thanks for your help.

Depending on the modality (mouse, keyboard, controller), there are three bugs that cover this behavior :)

MIDI: Map multiple controls to one button: Bug #582503
Keyboard: Map multiple controls to one key: Bug #1081137
GUI: link controls together Bug #329776

Since you mentioned keyboard working, I'll mark this as a dupe of the keyboard bug but these are all applicable.
