I think touch screens would also benefit:
Long-pressing the touchscreen usually emulates a right click. If you touch a GUI knob/slider and drag too little to exceed the drag threshold (or waiting for the perfect moment to start dragging) would result in a right click, wouldn't it?
Removing the right click from knobs and sliders would prevent that conflict, no?
