Okay, so there would be a use case for a gain knob in case the mixer and sound card both provide an inadequate amount of gain. But I am pretty sure there is no use case for adding a PFL button to the Record/Broadcast input. Mixxx's PFL is not used with an external mixer, so it would not be useful. Also, the signal is already being monitored on the speakers from the mixer's main output, so there would not be a point to listening to it in headphones.
