Bug Description

Was testing out Mixxx 2.1_b1 and noted that all seemed to work fine except in loading iTunes playlists. When I click on iTunes in the library window, it seems to load the first five or so playlists and stops. The library window itself under iTunes seems to have all my tracks. I've tried reloading my iTunes library xml and still no dice. I checked a previous build from back in november and the same issue is present, but not present in the build back in nov 2016 or in 2.0 stable. Pertinent details below. Any advice would be most welcome and thank you!

Mixxx version: Mixxx 2.1, beta 1, git6466
MacOS version: 10.9.5
iTunes Version: 12.1.2.27

Machine details:
iMac Late 2013
2.9GHz Intel Core i5
Please ask if you'd like any other specifications.

UPDATE - PROBLEM PERSISTS WITH 2.1 STABLE and OSX HIGH SIERRA/iTUNES 12.7.4

I just tried out the 2.1 stable, and have upgraded my machine to OSX high sierra, and the latest available iTunes release (12.7.4) and found that the issue I had noticed above persists. I point it at my correct iTunes library xml, I can see and load tracks from my iTunes library, but my iTunes playlists are not showing up in the left sidebar under iTunes, or in some cases, only showing about the first five. This problem is not present in 2.1_b builds back around nov 2016 which I have rolled back to.

Would appreciate if anyone knows a fix or can confirm if this is a genuine bug. Updated specifications below:

Mixxx version: Mixxx 2.1, stable
MacOS version: 10.13.4
iTunes Version: 12.7.4.76

Machine details:
iMac Late 2013
2.9GHz Intel Core i5
Please ask if you'd like any other specifications or information.

Would you mind sending me your "iTunes Music Library.xml" via private message, on Zulip, or however? Maybe I can convince my Linux development version to parse it ;) Your mixxxdb.sqlite would be helpful for comparison and additionally the name of one or more playlists that are missing.

I just fixed another issue related to all external libraries:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1766360
Although according to your description it is unlikely that both are related.

Silly me. Problem was most likely corruption
I deleted the iTunes Library xml and iTunes recreated it, thereafter it worked fine.
sorry to waste your time. thank you so much!
