Hi RJ,
there are no design changes of the audio routing involved right now. I am working "only" on a native Jack integration.
The Hardware preference window will not change, but you will be able to edit the connections nicely using third party tools like QJackCtrl. It is mainly a fix for Bug #839562 and Bug #1172299
With some patience, you can already route the deck output to Jack and put it back via Aux.
This should be a no-brainer after the change.
