At what point do we declare this fixed in Mir? Multi-monitor works now with the demo shell. Just lacks configuration options still.

Daniel, speaking personally, I would consider this fixed when all and any settings from the Display settings dialog box can be applied to Mir.

This is a netbook with external TV monitor 1366x768. (x)mir has been a mess on it since among other things, 1920x1080 is hard to read without a magnifier and the dual cursors get confused. Dual monitor was working but awkward and slow so I re-installed to normal.

Any idea when I can set 1366x768 rotation normal (don't laugh, rotated monitor is an existing saucy "feeture")?

I also run a notebook with external 1600x900 which is legible, when is it reasonable to try (x)mir - that is, will run well enough to report bugs? New .iso install I do every couple weeks it seems on U+1.

I see the U+1 forum talks about Xubuntu mir. This is unity (not my favorite but I'm testing for bugs).

Well, apt-get install unity-system-compositor installed on 3.11 but multimonitor support is even worse now. Not only is the external monitor 1920x1080 limited to a 1024x600 quadrant, the screen flashes like mad, cursor hardly moves, keyboard deadly slow. Unusable. Previous two cursor versions of mir would do a limited amount, not this one. I'll wait for the subject bug to clear.

BTW, if you have something to try, I could give it a go.

The Mir side of multi-monitor has been feature complete for quite some time now. Still working on hooking it up to XMir...

I am marking this fix-committed as we do have staged in the ppa a successful ability to display in extended desktop mode
