elementary apps have moved to a consistent welcome/action page when there is no content to display in the display area. Dexter, Postler, and BeatBox (http://i.imgur.com/SLrMn.png) provide a way to get content there (import vCard, set up account, import music, etc.). Marlin shows the same style page when the user tries to navigate to a nonexistent folder (http://i.imgur.com/DDMp6.png).

Midori should implement this same style of page for errors. The idea is that instead of a dead-end error page that simply informs the user what happened, Midori would provide clear and relevant actions that could help solve the problem. Some possible actions could be Reload, Search, and Settings. It's important to have simple actions with relevant icons and a short sentence that explains the action a little bit.

For example, you could show it like this:

Oops, there's nothing here.
Midori can't seem to find a web page at this address.

- Reload
Try to reach this page again.

- Search
Use [default search engine] to search for [address].

- Settings
Check your connection settings to make sure you're connected to the Internet.
