Comment 8 for bug 2049278

I don't know that we've heard back from the Pythia8 authors; I've just pinged the contacts on our side to check. I think it would be better to go ahead without the patch for now, just in case this breaks some assumption they're making.

I believe removing the extra junk in the launch command helped, but I'm not 100% sure if we're the whole way there.
