I'm glad you have been able to recreate the conditions I am experiencing.

Unfortunately, after following your instructions exactly (multiple times) I am not able to get out of the disconnecting/reconnecting loop.
I also have a Droid 2 running 2.2 and am getting the exact same behavior. Navigation keyboard pops up, but not switch activity and the disconnect/reconnect loop starts up.

Would you like me to make a video of the process or of the disconnect loop and post the youtube link?
