Antony can you describe what you recreated and what you changed/fixed?
Did you see my description of the prob, it was not related not the
existence of a federatedx table as such, or the loopback construct, it
was something MySQL Administrator did that caused a prob if a fedx
table exists.
I'd like to be sure that whatever you fixed covers this, before the
issue is marked resolved. cheers
