Interesting. My env is/was snv_88 and python 2.4.4 as well. Try the
upgrade to python 2.5.1. I know it should work with 2.4.4 but, perhaps
there's something unusual going on with the opensolaris python package
and I don't see any updates in 105 or better for python.
