Tried it, and it does not work, due to missing definitions of

SSL_get_version
SSL_get_verify_result
X509_V_OK
X509_digest
EVP_md5
X509_verify_cert_error_string

in gnutls/openssl.h

Too bad.

Pascal: have you had more luck with a full GNU TLS port?
