Same issue experienced at University of Kent.

Adding profile and resume blocks to a page takes around 1 - 2 minutes for the options box to load, worst case was over 3 minutes. Seems to affect administrators more so than standard users, however the waiting time for standard users is not insignificant.

Occurs in all browsers - IE, FF, Chrome, Safari. Currently running version 1.4.
