Additional information:
- This is a long-running MAAS used to deploy labs. Single host, region+rack+postgres on the same bare metal machine.
- All its CPUs were saturated when the issue occurred
- MAAS was installed a few days/weeks prior to the issue
- This failure was seen only once and persisted for two days (weekend)
- All runs during that period failed
- On Monday, MAAS snap was restarted
- After the restart, the “Next IP address to allocate” warnings have stopped

The environment is still up, logs are available for further investigation.
