Looks like this might be resolved already, but if anyone is looking for a more permanent solution if you are getting annoyed by resolv.conf being overwritten, you could also modify:

/etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/base { or head or tail }

and add:

nameserver <my-maas-ip>
search maas
