Bug Description

Lucid currently has 1.10 but this does not include the GatherDir plugin which is useful for building modules from CPAN which use this in dist.ini

dzil release --trial
reading configuration using Dist::Zilla::Config::Finder
couldn't load plugin GatherDir given in config: Can't locate Dist/Zilla/Plugin/GatherDir.pm in @INC ...

Could it be back-ported from Natty?

In order to ensure a working upgrade path, libdist-zilla-perl would need to be backported to both lucid and maverick.

I've uploaded test backports of libdist-zilla-perl for both lucid and maverick to my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~broder/+archive/backports-tests). Please verify that the build completes successfully, that the resulting backported package can be installed, and that the package runs (or trivial functionality works) for all target releases.

Additionally, libdist-zilla-perl has 3 reverse-dependencies in maverick:
> mingo:~ evan$ schroot -c maverick-amd64 -- apt-cache rdepends libdist-zilla-perl
> libdist-zilla-perl
> Reverse Depends:
> libdist-zilla-plugin-podweaver-perl
> libdist-zilla-plugin-podweaver-perl
> libconfig-mvp-perl

Please verify that each of these 3 packages still works with the new version of libdist-zilla-perl.

Once the verification has been completed, you can change the status of the bug to "Confirmed"

summary: - Please update libdist-zilla-perl
+ Please backport libdist-zilla-perl 4.200000-1 from natty to lucid,
+ maverick

The builds did not complete successfully, complaining of missing build dependencies: libconfig-mvp-reader-ini-perl on lucid, and libtest-fatal-perl on maverick. I can't tell whether there will be more build-deps once those are fixed...
