Details from test case [1]:
The Installer window is titled Kubuntu 17.10, says Kubuntu in the upper left, and uses the Kubuntu logo in the lower left, but at least there is a new slide show. Alas, the slideshow references Firefox instead of Qupzilla. The document slide references Abiword and Gnumeric, but I got Libre Office, the Music and Video slide references Audacious and Gnome-Mplayer, but I got MPV plaayer and SMPlayer; the Chat slide references Pidgin, but I did not see it either.

Additional Comments to those in comment #2 from Beta 1, RC3 [1]

In the slideshow, it says Lubuntu Next is based on LXDE instead of LXQt.
It says FF instead of Qupzilla (soon to be renamed to Falkon)
The slideshow mentions a Software App. Is that now Discover?
