I have Lenovo Y560 with Intel integrated and ATI MObility Radeon HD 5730 discrete card. I can't get them to work under Windows. What I need is not so much switchable graphics, although it'd be nice, but just CInnamon to work. I can use only Gnome now, not even Unity.
I tried different solutions, none worked, not now not when I had 12.10 or 12.04. I tried botjh with selecting Switchable and Discrete optins in BIOS.
I think I have mux version of graphic card, so latest Catalyst drivers don't work. Ubuntu's fglrx didn't work also. I don't know whether some older driver would work with Ubuntu 13.04. Please add this detail at https://launchpad.net/~hybrid-graphics-linux.
Please explain directly how to use vga_switcheroo. Now instructins mostly refer to http://asusm51ta-with-linux.blogspot.com/ which is rahter old.
