HP Envy 17 3D hardware version is 0593200000201920000620000

on 11.04 I have a kernel panic at startup most of the time. While on the grub boot loader screen if i adjust the brightness up and down and unplug then replug the a/c power cord I can sometimes boot into Ubuntu. Any help would be appreciated thanks
