  Aaactually, I think the backtrace doesn't show a deadlock at all--it shows a totally normally-functioning Paste server that isn't receiving any connections and that has no work to do.

  Is there some proxy in front of loggerhead, like Apache, or something about the loggerhead-launchpad connection that does proxying but doesn't itself log? Something in front of loggerhead itself is crashing or denying connections, when this happens, it looks like.
